ECU Function Adjustments - EGR/DPF/AdBlue/Speed Limit Delete

This popular modification means we adjust your vehicles parameters in order to disable the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve from operating and also to stop the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration occurring.  These are popular requested often accompanied with a power remap however this can be done at standard power levels also.  Key reasons for this modification include increased reliability, additional power and better fuel economy.  Please consult local laws and regulations before considering if this solution is the best for you and your vehicle, if you are unsure give us a call for further information and honest advice. AdBlue systems also known as SCR or DEF are becoming increasingly common in Euro 6 compliant engines (generally 2015 onwards).  We often get asked to deactivate these systems as replacing tanks and pumps can be extremely expensive. This feature can be programmed into the ECU on some petrol vehicles which results in a pop and bang or crackle noise coming from the exhaust system during engine deceleration. Many manufacturers already implement such a feature from factory on some performance models most notably BMW M cars upon gear change and VW performance models. The feature offers no performance advantages but does offer a sportier feel and noise.   For maximum effect it is best if exhaust upgrades such as decat or sports cat are made.  This is achieved by allowing the injectors to remain slightly open for a short period after the throttle has been released,  this causes fuel to then ignite at a slightly different point of the ignition phase causing the fuel to ignite and create explosions in the exhaust system, in some instances the vehicle is capable of ejecting flames from the tailpipe!  We love it really ;)

Some vehicles are factory restricted to certain speeds which means your track day would possibly be not as fun or as fast as it should be.  Some vans and motorhomes also come with speed limiters and top speed restrictors.  We can remove these on certain vehicles which is ideal for track use or if the vehicle is going to be used on roads such as unrestricted Autobahns in Germany etc.  It is worth noting that you should abide by all road traffic laws and remember some commercial vehicles are restricted for safety reasons.  Please also ensure the tyres on your vehicle are also safely rated to be used at a higher top speed.  If you have any concerns please contact us and we can help you decide if this option is suited to your needs,
