YES! What sets us apart from the majority of the competition is that we are Alientech Academy VTA trained  Master Tuners endorsed by the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry). This means we have the skills, training and experience to create our own tuning files completely custom to your vehicle.  We are not a "slave" dealer and we don't use generic tuning files!   We can undertake LIVE on-the-road tuning to create gains developed in real world driving situations.

Yes - we offer a mobile dyno service and using our state of the art DynoPro we are able to give accurate power and torque results for all vehicles.  This accuracy has a repeatability level of =- 1% so all results are as accurate as a rolling road.  We can then give you a copy of these results for you to see and feel the difference.

Remapping and tuning your vehicles ECU are effectively the same thing but you may hear other terms such as "chipping" "mapping" "recalibration" "flashing" and many other words.  Put simply it is a process of adjusting the electronic information inside your vehicles Engine Control Unit and optimising the parameters of your vehicle to make incredible improvements to many characteristics such as power, torque and fuel economy.  Practically all vehicles with an OBD port (generally 1996 and onwards) can undergo this process and benefit hugely!  There are many companies out there offering this service however be certain they have the knowledge and experience required to to this kind of work and also ensure they use genuine tools not cheap clone tools off eBay!  Don't be afraid to ask your chosen remapping company to prove their tools are genuine.

We offer a mobile remapping service throughout Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion - indeed the majority of West Wales.. There are lots of reasons to do this however the most common reasons are:

1. To safely increase the power output of your vehicle to make overtaking safer and to enhance the driveability and acceleration of your vehicle.
2. to increase the torque output of your vehicle to aid when towing trailers, caravans and to reduce the need to downshift on hills.
3. to increase your fuel economy by anything from 1-9mpg depending on your vehicle

There are several reasons why your vehicles manufacturers don't fully optimise your vehicle ECU so here are a few of the more common reasons.

1. Vehicles are sold all over the world and so the standard "map" on your vehicle is designed to suit varying fuel qualities and ambient temperatures.
2. To keep throttle response relatively gentle so the vehicle can easily be driven by people with varying levels of skill - some people are actually intimidated by rapid acceleration.
3. Many vehicle manufacturers sell higher power models at a much higher cost.  VW is renowned for doing this on many of its models.
4. To meet lower insurance groupings so the vehicle can potentially be afforded by a wide range of customers.
5. To meet varying emissions requirements throughout the world.

The simple answer to this question is..... YES!  We strive to achieve SAFE power gains for your vehicle.  Whilst other tuning companies aim to squeeze every last bit of power from vehicles we prefer to keep things much safer at a level whereby the long term durability of the vehicle is NOT compromised.  As with anything regarding motor vehicles we cannot stress the importance of ensuring your vehicle is regularly maintained and serviced.  We do advise caution on higher mileage vehicles whereby we will offer a reduced power increase when necessary.  As the vehicle owner we will ensure to consult you during this process.

Unfortunately some tuning companies like to overstate the power gains some vehicles can achieve.  This is simply because the prospect of getting more power may sound appealing however it is often not possible to achieve.  Also what sets us aside as different to our competitors is the fact we have real experience remapping a wide range of vehicles and we like to ensure any gains are safe so the vehicle is not over stressed.  Our aim is to provide SAFE power levels that do not sacrifice the long term durability of your vehicle.  We have customers who's vehicles have covered 100,000 miles since we have applied our software and the vehicle is still just as reliable!  Whilst we do offer an Over The Top tuning option whereby at your request and with permission we will lift power levels to their absolute maximum we do advise against this for anything other than track based vehicles.

contact us to find out exactly what we could gain on your vehicle.  however as a rough guide turbocharged vehicles can gain up to 40% increases in power and torque.  A classic example of insane power increases are the BMW F series M3 and M4 which can see power increases in the region of 105bhp over standard power!

The majority of vehicles can be done within 2-3 hours.  Most vehicles are remapped via the OBD plug inside your vehicle whilst others vehicles can take longer especially those that need to be "Bench Tuned".   Bench tuning consists of us removing the ECU from your vehicle, opening it up and directly connecting to the internal circuit board.

Some vehicles do not allow tuning via the OBD port and have installed clever software in an attempt to stop people recalibrating the files.  However we have several tools in our armoury to get around this problem and one of these is by using Ktag to directly programme the circuit board. Ktag is the most widely used BDM tuning tool in the industry and Alientech have achieved legendary status for their Kess, Ksuite and Ktag systems we use all of these systems on a daily basis.

OBD remapping starts from as little as £190 depending on the vehicle and your requirements. 

BDM or Bench Tuning starts from as little as £260 depending on your vehicle and requirements.

If undergoing these at the same time as a remap then this additional work is FREE of charge!  if you wish to make singular function adjustments these starts from as little as £100 depending on your vehicle and requirements.  Please note this price is for electronic deletes only and not physical component deletion.

Our promise to you is that for as long as you own the vehicle we can be 100% certain that your software will remain fully functioning and trouble free.  We will not charge you a remapping fee if your vehicles remap file is overwritten when taking your vehicle for a manufacturers recall or software update (a small service fee may apply).
